Last "4th of July" photo in the series...

And this one is way blurry, but it sorta looks "artistic" so I thought I'd throw it up anyway:

Beer Tent - July 4th, 2006

Well, it's not actually a tent, however, it is beer served out of a refrigerated-trailer.

Beer... It's not just for breakfast anymore.

July 4th, 2006 Pic no. 2

Here's another one of these fun "coloured" photos. Forgive me if I'm being pedantic, but I just love this effect. I'm going to mess about with this process, I think.

More random people, this time enjoying beer.

4th of July, 2006 Photos

Using the special "night-shot" setting on my camera, I made a series of photos on the 4th of July at the Soap Factory in Minneapolis. I'll show them to you kind viewers over the next few days...

I rather like the way these "colour-corrected" versions look.

My Local.

Brits know what a local is, but for those from OTHER places... A "Local" is the pub that you tend to frequent. Not always is the pub actually that "close" to you. In fact... The Bell and Crown (in Canterbury) was my local for YEARS, and it was nowhere close to where I lived. That being said... My NEW "Local" is the Dubliner. It's on University, and currently it actually IS the pub closest to the house where I'm living, in addition to just being a great place to hang out!

Decor...

Okay, sometimes things are not what they seem... Sometimes they are.

Occasionally... There's decor... Occasionally it's just kitsch.

Budding Performance Artist

Young performance artist/painter at the Soap Factory July 2006

During the Opening Reception for the "WacTac" (Walker Art Center Teen Art Council) "Hot Art Injection:4" exhibition at the Soap Factory. A large group of teen-musicians were performing their music. During a particularly horrific band's performance, a young male artist brought out a large streached bedsheet and lot's of paint. He preceeded to throw paint, smear it about, and scream whilst "bopping" to the music. Fiona and I agreed that he was the best part of the show!
